Bug 2.3.6 Last upgrade check: later_today_at_x (2 bugs in 1?)

What the heck is wrong? I can't post a missing phrase here without it auto-completing in the message box (a secondary bug to the phrase missing from 2.3.6):

Last upgrade check: later today at x

(Secondary bug if you put underscores in that in the message textbox, in about 2 seconds it converts the text into something that I didn't enter)
