Ques/Help Length of time to keep removed content - option for how long to keep soft deleted posts? Restore, re

Is content that is soft-deleted by mods, or self-deleted by users/members kept forever? I thought I had seen an option that specifies how long it's kept for. But after some searching I may have been confusing it for the editHistory option which defines how long logs are kept for. XF 2.1 - How do you delete history of edits?
