Removed the user from all moderation usergroups primary and secondary.
Removed all custom user permissions (using "Set all to no") and he is still listed as having custom permissions.
FWIW I took over the forum probably five years ago. This is a 25 year old forum that's been imported from phpBB -> vBulletin -> vBulletin -> Xenforo. I have no idea why there were two imports of vBulletin but it's mangled the database in terrible ways (old links no longer work, for example). I've gutted and...
