Ques/Help What are xenForo thread view stats based on?

I have presumed views are based on views by logged in members but a recent test showed that a test thread in a forum that is viewable by unregistered and myself but not registeted members received 15 views in the space of 30 minutes. Only two of those could have been mine. So my querstion is does that figure include all guests viewers including bots or just humans?
